He remembered you in the way of flowers. The arrangement is beautiful. Every time, you look at it, you are reminded how much he loves you. Now you wonder how to keep the flowers from dying?

There are ways that you can keep fresh cut flowers alive longer. Luckily, these are all simple steps, too.

First, be sure to place those flowers into water as soon as you receive them. The water should be lukewarm in temperature. Plain tap water is okay. But if you happen to have distilled water handy, this is the best to use.

 Next make sure that there is no foliage in the water. If there is simply, cut these leaves off of your flowers. You can do this with a sharp knife.

Check to see if the flowers came with a packet of food packet. If it didn’t, add a bit of sugar into the water.

Now find a spot for the flowers. The flowers should never be placed in direct sunlight. They also should be placed in an area that is too warm.

Finally, remember to change the water every two days.  When you do this, you need to check the flowers for any dead foliage or blooms. If you see any, remove these. You also need to add a little bit of sugar to the new water.

You also should never keep flowers near fruit. Fruit lets off this special type of gas that can kill flowers.

Finally, while your flowers are fresh and vibrant, take a picture of them. This is the best way to remember them and the special way you felt when you received them.
